Tzar Ivan located on Clarendon Street (parallel to Grafton Street) features a team of five chefs from Moscow, and currently employs 10 Russians within its management, kitchen and waiting team, in addition to Irish staff.
he restaurant's decor creates a genuine Russian atmosphere with copies of the Bilibin illustrations of Russian folklore stories around the walls and displays of traditional handcrafts including matrioshkas and birch-bark mementous.

he food is authentic and the menu combines traditional Russian cuisine with Spanish and French influences. Meals for the Tzars were traditionally ceremonial, plentiful and tasty "That is what we aim to achieve at Tzar Ivan".
he selection of main courses includes Zharkoye (sauteed Spring lamb with fresh vegetables), Beef Stroganoff and a variety of fish and poultry dishes. The traditional Russian Pelmeni and Vareniki also feature. The restaurant has a full spirits licence.
zar Ivan offers a specials for lunch (12pm-3pm) and serves an Early Bird pre-theatre menu from 6pm-7pm. The restaurant is open for dinner seven nights.
